Deletion and handling

After ordering and collection, we have each device tested by an impartial third party with proven testing and assessment expertise and document the results in a test protocol. All data is erased using certified software and the devices are de-identified so that they no longer contain any data that can be linked to previous users. All information on equipment management is available in our take-back portal, Itreon TakeBack Portal.

Mismanaged hardware and inconsistent erasure processes can put businesses at risk. Itreon pays special attention to authorized erasure and traceable documentation. Our processing facilities have high technical expertise and use proven methods. Certified software guarantees secure and verifiable deletion of all data. If data cannot be erased, the media is physically destroyed.

Impartial grading of devices

Itreon's main warehouse is located in Ljungby. The facility is equipped with a large set of safety cabinets and is the Nordic hub of our take-back operations. If needed, we offer take-back with packing on site.

A process built for transparency

Our standardized grading and erasure process is built for transparency. Each unit is given a unique Asset ID and the retrieval flow is documented from collection to deletion and grading, sale or recycling. All steps are time-stamped and logged. You get real-time data and a complete basis for internal control and audit.

Sale or recycling

After grading, the units are sold or recycled. In the case of take-back operations, eligible units are resold according to Itreon's commission model. Units that do not qualify for reuse are sent for recycling at an approved facility.

How much does it cost?

With Itreon's commission model, you pay nothing upfront. We arrange the shipping, collection, handling, grading and sale, or recycling of the equipment. The costs of these services are then deducted from the revenue we receive when we sell your end-of-life equipment. We handle hundreds of thousands of units every year and can therefore offer very good prices on both freight as well as handling and grading.

  • Yes, all IT equipment is subject to the Itreon take-back process. Even cell phones and tablets are deleted and tested.

  • We test the basic functions of all devices. Other functions are diagnosed with the erasure software. For each computer and mobile, there is clear information about the serial number, keyboard, ports, network, processor, memory, hard disk and battery health. For mobiles and tablets, we also verify the serial number, IMEI, unlocking and basic functions. Accessories such as chargers are checked separately.

  • The timeline depends on the volume and model mix. Usually, it takes 2-3 weeks before the arriving equipment starts to be processed. Sales start at the same time as the units are processed. As a rule, we produce a complete feedback report within one to one and a half months.
